The Law Offices of Kirk Tarman & Associates has an immediate position for an Associate Attorney ready to represent our existing client base and new clients. If you have the ability to handle a diverse caseload, are not afraid to litigate, have stellar research and writing skills, can communicate effectively, please start your application today! Responsibilities: -Maintain regular communication with our clients throughout their criminal process -Immediately contact and/or respond to all potential clients via phone and email. -Conduct potential new client interviews with genuine empathy and compassion -Investigate the circumstances of their cases, including legal research, reviewing discovery, and interviewing witnesses -Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings. -Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis -Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action -Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs -Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs. -Jail visits Qualifications: -Must be licensed to practice law in California. -Must be willing to make appearances at various courthouses. -Ability to close incoming clients with tact An important prerequisite for this position is the ability to demonstrate compassion and understanding to potential clients.
