Principal Java Engineer

Job Description:

A company is looking for a Principal Backend Java Engineer with expertise in large scale distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop scalable Java code for content aggregation, indexing, retrieval, processing, and ranking
Enhance and deploy tools and systems for processing textual data
Write design documents, develop automated tests, and coordinate deployments

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; Master's preferred
10+ years of experience in core Java application development
Experience with GCP environment
Knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD tools (Maven/Gradle)
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and databases like Cassandra or Spanner preferred
